Before its reorganization to the open joint-stock company, Borki Starch Plant was a business unit of Grodnoovoschpischeprom production association according to the general scheme of the agricultural and industrial system of the Republic of Belarus.
Borki Starch Plant was a communal property. The plant conducts its business on principles of complete self-support and self-financing. The enterprise had its own balance and bank clearing account.
According to the Decision #90 of the Grodno Regional Committee for State Property Management of December 30, 1995, there was founded Borki Starch Plant Open Joint-Stock Company in the process of privatization of Borki Starch Plant. The company is a commercial organization, it has independent assets and balance and a seal.
The company issued 37 783 common inscribed shares. 26.9% of shares are allotted among shareholders, the state share makes 73.09% of the total stock.
Borki Starch Plant OJSC is located in Borki village, Diatlovo District, Grodno Region, the Republic of Belarus.
The main line of activity is the production of dry potato starch.
All the products are certified. The starch is supplied to the domestic and foreign markets.
The products are sold through a whole sale and retail network and departmental trading.
The designed capacity of potato processing is 200 tons per day, of dry starch production - 25 tons per day.
There are 22 employees at the enterprise, 7 of them are executives, 15 - workers.
